Naxos: Hike to the Top of Mount Zas with a Guide
Before you book
- Meet the guides outside the chapel of Agia Marina by Danakos village, where the trail starts. Transport from your hotel can be added when you book; the meeting or pickup details come by email the day before.
- The walk is 6 km (3.7 miles) with 391 m (1,282 ft) of climb and descent, on dirt and then rocky limestone trail. Not suitable for children under 12, people over 70, or people with mobility impairments or a low level of fitness.
- Bring at least 1.5 liters of water a person in your own bottle (the operator hands out no plastic bottles), hiking shoes and a windbreaker. A snack at the top and a picnic meal afterwards are included.
