Before you book
- Pickup is from hotels in seven listed areas: Agia Pelagia, Fodele beach, Heraklion, Analipsi, Malia, Agios Nikolaos and Schisma Elounda. The exact time comes after booking, and where a vehicle cannot reach your hotel the operator sets a meeting point nearby.
- Not included: the Cave of Zeus ticket, €15 full and €8 reduced on the Ministry of Culture's page when we checked in October 2026, and personal expenses. Lunch in Krasi with local wine and water is included.
- The Ministry lists the cave as closed on Tuesdays, and the listing says Tuesday tours change their itinerary (it gives the Tuesday closure as running until 31 December 2026). The cave visit involves walking and steps.
- Not suitable for people with heart problems or recent surgery, and there is no smoking, eating or drinking in the vehicle. You ride in a Land Rover Defender or an air-conditioned Mercedes Vito 4x4 with a driver-guide; the listing names English, German, French, Greek, Russian and Dutch.
- As of early October 2026, Crete has had severe storms and floods since 1 October. Cancellation, as listed: “Cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.”
About This Experience

- The exact pickup time will be confirmed after your booking.
- If your hotel is on a street the vehicles cannot access, the tour company will arrange a nearby meeting point.
- The tour involves walking and steps at the Cave of Zeus, so comfortable shoes are recommended.
- The Cave of Zeus is officially closed on Tuesdays until 31 December 2026, so the itinerary will be adjusted accordingly.
- If the Cave of Zeus is closed, guests may enjoy nearby cafés or alternative activities suggested by the guide.
