- From the bus park it is a 10 to 15-minute walk to the beach, so the listing asks for easy fitness. Entry to Elafonisi is free and cars have been kept off the beach since 2023; as of October 2026 there is no visitor cap or booking system (one was proposed in August 2026).
- Not included: food and drinks, sun umbrellas (€9 to rent plus a €5 deposit) and straw mats. Umbrellas are not allowed on the islet itself, and taking shells, plants or sand is banned.
- The itinerary has a 45-minute wine tasting at the Pnevmatikakis winery; the includes list mentions neither it nor the honey in the title. The pink in the sand comes from crushed shells and, the listing warns, varies with the season, light, weather and tide.
